September in Morris: Harvest Vibes & Community Magic
If you're the kind of person who gets a little giddy at the first crisp breeze, a golden-hour stroll, or the idea of sipping something cold while listening to live music in the park- then Morris in September is calling your name.
The month kicks off with a toast. On Saturday, September 6, the Morris Beer Fest takes over Goold Park, pouring local brews and chill energy into the heart of town. It’s everything you love about small town festivals- laid-back vibes, big flavor, and familiar faces- plus just enough newness to keep things interesting. Whether you’re there for the lagers or just looking to soak up good energy on the grass, it’s the perfect way to slip into fall.
Sept 6 – Morris Beer Fest @ Goold Park
Beer, bands, and backyard energy. Crack one open under the trees and vibe with the locals. This one’s all about sipping slow and keeping it casual.
Sept 13 – 3 French Hens Market (AM) + Cruise Night (PM)
Start your day treasure hunting at the downtown market, then trade your tote for a lawn chair and watch vintage rides take over Main Street. Sunrise to headlights, it’s a full-day affair.
Sept 19 – Movie in the Park @ Goold
Bring a blanket. Bring your snacks. Let the movie roll under the stars. It’s giving main character energy.
Sept 21 – Junk in the Trunk @ Morris Plaza
A flea market from the back of people’s cars- and somehow, it works. Unique finds. Good convo. Unexpected gems. Sunday’s best.
Sept 24–28 – Corn Festival + 5K on Sept 27
Parades, music, food, crafts, and the biggest small-town vibes of the year. The Grundy County Corn Fest is Morris at its finest. Bonus points if you lace up for the 5K Saturday morning before hitting the funnel cake line.
So, whether you're on the hunt for vintage scores, outdoor movies, or deep-fried everything, September in Morris delivers. It’s where community, coziness, and a little chaos all meet - and we wouldn’t have it any other way.
